1904 Sanborn Insurance Map for the 12th & Broadway Area

1904 Sanborn Fire Insurance Map for the 12th & Broadway area. By 1904 the smaller lots shown in the 1890 map were sold and attached domestic residences were built along 12th Avenue. At the same time, at the corner of 13th and Broadway, a round building known as the Broadway Natatorium was constructed on the site.

The maps were created by the D.A. Sanborn Company, founded in New York in 1867. They are a valuable resource for research in architecture, site assessment (like the History Colorado project), genealogy and urban history.
