Title: "The State of Colorado Fountain" also known as the Joseph Addison Thatcher Memorial Fountain

Summary: View of the fountain titled "The State of Colorado Fountain" (sculpted in 1917 by Lorado Taft), also known as the Joseph Addison Thatcher Memorial Fountain, on the north end of City Park Esplanade in City Park, in the City Park neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. Shows a bronze statue of a woman, garbed in robes, on a granite base. The figure is holding a sword in one hand and a shield of Colorado in the other. Letters incised on the base read: "The Gift of Joseph Addison Thatcher to the City of Denver 1918." Three groups of bronze figures are on the base. Blooming crabapple trees are in the distance.
