Orlando Flats Building
Constructed in the Five Points area by architect/builder John H. Barnes in 1892, Orlando Flats is one of Denver’s better surviving examples of late nineteenth-century lower income housing. The city’s Householder’s Directories from the 1890s show residents as being exclusively employed in low wage labor positions. The first floor of the three-story brick building is faced with stone, and the building was originally divided into thirty-four small apartments.
