Ideal Laundry
In 1904, John T. Fizell and Otto Heries established a laundry business at 2500 Curtis Street. Soon the business grew and they took on a third partner Sidney Culbertson who owned Red Star Laundry. Together they formed Ideal Laundry. The name ideal was used to mean excellent workmanship. At one point the plant employed more than 125 people. The plant was one of the largest and most modern in the city of Denver.
