Did Aunt Rudy make the most heavenly biscuits? Grandma the best fruit cocktail cake you could imagine? What about Dad's recipe for his not so wonderful liver surprise? Well, this community is for those who have a hankering for good ole' home cookin'. We all have memories and family traditions revolving around food. Some passed down through the generations. As time passes and most cooking revolves around the microwave or the box these traditions and memories are being lost. This community is a place to preserve those traditions and methods while taking people for a quick trip travel down memory lane. Fell free to share those things that are good, bad, funny, sad, divine, revolting or somewhere in between. That's the beauty of cooking, it's about perspective.

Description: Summary of a newclip pasted to the back of photoprint: Miss S. A. Topliss, head of the 4-H club in Montrose, Colorado, has, for the first time, enough girls to form the club. The girls have become adept at canning over the last three years, including the procurement of a number of state reserve and grand championships. In 1936, Alice LeBarr was chosen state grand champion. The group cans fruit, vegetables and different kinds of meat. Winners have received trips to the state fair in Pueblo, trips to the Denver rodeo, cash prizes, pressure cookers, and dozens of jars.
