Colorado Black Hall of Fame
Blacks in Colorado Hall of Fame honors new inductees every other year. Juanita Gray helped start this tradition in 1973. Members of the Hall of Fame are Colorado residents who are the first in their field to make history and have had a major impact on the African American Community.
The ceremony presenting these awards is traditionally held at the Ford-Warren Branch Library, where Mrs. Gray worked for many years. In 2012 the ceremony was held on February 10th at the Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library in Denver’s historic Five Points neighborhood.
