Bandhauer Family House

Lizzie and Robert Bandhauer came to the valley near Four Mile Creek and the South Platte River in 1894. They built their ranch house in 1896, and used the home as a summer retreat with their 8 children. The family sold the property after 36 years, and in 1948 it became YMCA Camp Shady Brook.
